FontXpress™ for Macintosh is a stand-alone software application. FontXpress™ for Macintosh works in conjunction with the Collect For Output report from QuarkXPress™ to collect all of your QuarkXPress™ document fonts onto a disk for output by a service bureau. FontXpress™ for Macintosh will also alert you to potential output problems that may exist with your QuarkXPress™ document.
Quick Start
When you are ready to send your QuarkXPress™ document to a service bureau for output you will select the “Collect For Output” menu item from within the QuarkXPress™ application. QuarkXPress™ will then collect your QuarkXPress™ document and all related graphics into a folder, but will not include the document fonts. QuarkXPress™ will also generate a report file and will place it within the same folder.
To use FontXpress™ for Macintosh simply drag and drop the QuarkXPress™ report file icon onto the FontXpress™ for Macintosh application icon. FontXpress™ will automatically launch and will then open the report file.
After the report file is opened and the fonts are listed in the main window, the “Collect Fonts” button will be active (i.e. not “grayed out”). To collect your document fonts click the “Collect Fonts” button. FontXpress will present a dialog window to locate a folder to collect the fonts into. After you select the appropriate folder, FontXpress™ will start the font collection process. FontXpress™ will first check your font menus for any fonts that are currently installed and active (i.e. currently available in your QuarkXPress™ font menu). After FontXpress™ has collected any opened fonts, it will determine if there are any uncollected fonts remaining. If so, FontXpress™ will then begin to search you hard drives or network servers listed in the Preferences window. FontXpress™ will continue to search until it finds all of the listed fonts, or the search is cancelled by holding down the command key and tying a period. When FontXpress™ has collected all of your fonts or has exhausted it’s search, it will present a dialog window indicating that the collection process is finished.

The full version of FontXpress™ requires a valid serial number. You can demo FontXpress™ by clicking the Demonstartion button when presented with the Registration window on start up.
